I got to make this for my cousin's wedding at the Castle of Chaos last year. (Zombie wedding cake?! YES PLEASE!)
It was seriously a blast to come up with this design and see it all come together. I wanted to bring in a bit of the Castle, and thought it would be fun to have it falling apart to reveal stitched zombie skin underneath, and of course the stitches needed to be oozing thick zombie blood.. (do zombies bleed?) I tied in his love for Edgar Allan Poe with the Ravens, and of course we had to add in the Hannibal Lecter mask! The bleeding heart was the perfect touch of gore to finish off a zombie wedding cake. Each piece of it had something to do with their wedding theme, which was so perfect for them!
